I am often asked what is a giclee? A giclee is created from an original painting using a printing process that uses fade resistance archival inks on a large format printers. Giclee comes from the French word meaning to spray which is what an ink jet does and its print quality is superior to other forms of printing and it is hard to tell the difference from the original. Giclees can also be embellished and hand signed adding to their value. They can be printed on museum quality stretched canvas, rolled canvas or fine art paper. For people who love art and like to collect but cant afford the artists original paintings this is a great way for them to purchase art.
